Martinelli Winery — a beloved family-owned Sonoma County winery with deep roots in the Russian River Valley — paid a top digital agency to build their site five years ago, then got squeezed for thousands on every small tweak while foundational work sat unfinished. Over 2024–2025, North & Vine rebuilt it from the ground up: a visual lookalike on a fast, secure, maintainable codebase. West Sonoma County nonprofit West County Community Services was running on a site that had drifted — broken homepage hero, pre-CPRA privacy policy, ~20% dead outbound links, and an unstyled generic template. North & Vine shipped an ADA, privacy, TOS, security, link-rot, and design upgrade as one coordinated sprint: new hero slideshow with 3 configured slides, six FSE block patterns for author self-service, a 700-line automatic template styling layer, the Russian River Senior Center page rebuilt from 3,989 to 11,662 bytes of structured blocks, and server-level hardening backed by forensic snapshots.

Bark & Bottle: Turning a Market Signal Into a Launched Platform
Our partner spotted a blind spot in California’s $8.56B wine-tourism market: dog-friendly tasting-room information existed only as scattered blog posts and DMO one-pagers — stale, unverified, unsearchable. North & Vine turned the signal into a product. Bark & Bottle launched with 778 curated, verified wineries across 8 California regions, a submission channel so the supply side grows the dataset, curated travel itineraries, and an event feed. Multi-state rollout begins April 2026 on infrastructure built to scale from day one.

Pre-2010, Napa Valley’s destination marketing budget was just $500K—the smallest in California wine country. After the lodging industry passed a Tourism Improvement District that grew funding to $6.5M a year, North & Vine co-founder Roger Coryell led the August 2012 brand transition from “Napa Valley Destination Council” to Visit Napa Valley, including the rebuilt VisitNapaValley.com. The new brand and digital platform powered more than a decade of record-breaking growth.
